At Elite Latin Dance our goal is to not only teach social & performance dance & technique but also to educate our students about timing, musicality, styling & self-expression. Learn the fundamentals of Salsa Music & how to express it with our Ladies Styling & Shines Workshop.

About the event
The 1 hour musicality workshop will be a class focused on understanding Salsa music. We will introduce & examine the different instruments and the Afro Cuban rhythms that are played through the different instruments. We will go over the concepts of dancing On1 & On2 and how to find the 1 as well as other beats in Salsa Music.
Our Ladies Styling & Shines Workshop will build on the Musicality class. We will begin to experiment in interpreting the instruments & rhythms we learned by adding shines & ladies styling steps & movement.
PLEASE NOTE* You do not need to take both Workshops - however they are designed to complement each other and the totality of taking both workshops will yield a greater understanding than either workshop alone.
ALSO* The Ladies Styling & Shines Workshop is designed for both Leaders and followers. The footwork will be the same and the styling will be different for leads and follows.
* We encourage our students to get outside of their comfort zones and take both workshops. We invite you all to join us on this journey to expand your horizons and better understand the musicality behind the dance we all love so much - SALSA!
